Netflix Selects Ideal Performer for Bentham in One Piece Third Season

Baroque Works is set to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.

The platform declared this week that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bentham. This character possesses the power to change into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will portray a version of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action show, differing from the source material and anime.

The new cast member will work alongside a number of fresh additions set to bring the group to the screen, including head the main antagonist, portrayed by the well-known actor, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.

Although this character is a important part of Baroque Works, the character will be introduced in One Piece season 3. With the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this marks a notable change in the timing of their first appearance, one that could indicate additional alterations to the narrative framework.

Their mix of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the part. Besides their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.

The platform’s adapted One Piece show is due to premiere for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
