Your Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Super Form Based on the Astrological Sign

The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread enthusiasm within the fandom. From the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the title's launch, to players forming firm opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique designs that emphasize their personalities, one thought naturally: How can connect this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

Aries – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was almost chosen for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes the Ram much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the good side of either and enjoy a strong partner; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Much like a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its standard and Super Form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will defend their position unwaveringly. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Many previous official descriptions note their fondness for sweet sap and how it employs its appendage to hoard it all, which is true Taurus energy.

Gemini – Mega Medicham

Look at this absolute royalty. It's impossible to convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, offering an endless stream of gossip to those who wish to hear. Just like an captivating, gregarious Gemini, it's very easy to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to predict an opponent's next moves, which seems very like a socially-savvy Twins.

Cancer – Super Manectric

Cancer is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate sign known for often getting absorbed in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to create a storm cloud over its own self – and if there’s one thing a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their own parade.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Well, did you think I was going to select Pyroar for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or horrifying, based on your taste). Players couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo brings to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting signals from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly judgmental is clearly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a always surprised expression like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s just like the emoji a Maiden sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who uses the sensors on its ears to tell how others are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a detriment – and trying to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would likely benefit from Super Audino's skills. However, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to stress more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a creature with a unexpectedly sad origin: Discarded as a toy, it gained sentient through sheer resentment and vowed revenge on its former owner. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio adores karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a show. As a Archer myself, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly small jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can imagine.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee calamities ahead of time? That gives the identical vibe as a Goat, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Super Chandelure

Aloof air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-flame placement that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category fits seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting presence is also very Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Super Form's description says it “absorbs hatred and transforms it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
