Administration Denounces 'Democrat Hoax' as More Jeffrey Epstein Images Made Public
Democratic lawmakers have published a fresh batch of what they labeled "alarming" images from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 images—some of which have been previously circulated—combined with another 70 unveiled later on Friday account for a tiny fraction of the almost 100,000 images handed over to the House oversight committee, which is probing the actions and ties of Epstein.
The disgraced financier was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking offenses.
Prominent Personalities in the Photos
Among the prominent personalities visible in the first release are well-known figures including film director Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump appears in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are redacted.
Administration Reaction
The White House reacted to the release in a official comment, alleging Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the photographs for partisan aims and to "seek to establish a false account."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a presidential representative said, insisting that "this presidency has accomplished more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have at any point by frequently urging openness, disclosing numerous documents of papers, and demanding further investigations into Epstein's liberal connections."
Congressional Democrat Statement
The photographs were disclosed without context, but as stated by a California Democrat and senior member of the oversight committee, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's associations with wealthy individuals.
"It is time to end this White House cover-up and secure justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he stated in a release.
The disclosure of these images occurs alongside the oversight committee proceeding with its probe into the affair.
