The visionary game developer, the mind behind the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.
His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.
The renowned industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
